I have been playing for almost 50 years, and studied privately with Dominick Saltarelli, Marcus Lehmann, Sebastian Campesi, and most recently with Eugene Fodor. In addition to orchestra and chamber playing, my performing experiences cover most popular styles of music and most types of groups, including country, folk, bluegrass, rock, blues, and jazz standards. I hold a Masters Certificate in Songwriting from Berklee College of Music, am a member of the Denver Local of the American Federation of Musicians, and belong to the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers. My original music is published by Licksun-Lyrics.  

Most of my engagements are wedding ceremonies, and I have over time developed coping strategies for the usual problems associated with outdoor performances. In situations where volume is the most important factor, I offer the additional option of using an electric violin with 60 watt amplifier. The highly adaptable strolling violin also is well suited for receptions, memorial ceremonies, private parties, corporate events, birthdays, holiday parties, caroling or sing alongs, contra dancing, square dances, nursing homes, hospitals, libraries, and schools. Educational presentations can include examples and explanations of history and styles of violin and fiddle music if desired.

Strollingviolinist.com is a competitively priced alternative to DJs in the Denver/Frontrange area. Special requests are a specialty of mine, and any required transcription or arranging services are included with my wedding performances at no additional charge. Standard selections are also available to suit ceremonies from most traditions,  and I can suggest or choose music for you based on my previous playing experiences if you prefer.

Working alone allows me the greatest flexibility to draw upon my varied background to please a wide range of musical tastes, and to provide the best customer service possible. However, larger groups can be arranged on special request, subject to the availability of proven players on a given date.
